With the slogan, CHANGE, Barack H. Obama is the official 44th President of the United States of America after the Inauguration Ceremony last January 20, 2009 at the National Mall, Washington D.C., 12:00pm (1:00am Philippine time).
Amidst the dropping temperature of 15ºC - 10ºC, millions of people from different races, cultures and beliefs had gathered at the superbly huge space of the National Mall to witness the historical event of the people who hoped but didn’t expect that a Black-American would be the 44th President of the United States of America.
Five thousand portable toilets and ten video walls were scattered around the Mall. People had occupied the 30km space of the mall, securities were tightened. The huge Inauguration Ceremony since Lyndon Johnson on 1965. People were eager to witness the historical event that’ll raise everyone, with high-hopes, to survive in the sinking world and treat everyone with complete fairness and respect.
After the Civil War, 1861-1865, Black-American had been separated from White colored Americans, unfairly treated and solely discriminated. Abraham Lincoln then made a Treaty for the Blacks to be treated fairly, and later amended the Constitution of Civil Rights for the Blacks. A race that was discriminated and deprived of their rights, now a race of the 44th President of the strongest, the most powerful and influential country of the world, the United States of America.
History has been made, it is now written. What is there then to become? Will this be the start of change that everybody is eager to have for the betterment of the world? Or another idle administration sitting in their seats, pocketing gold in their country? Everybody have high hopes that the newly-elected, the official President could ease the high-waves of global economic crises that can make countries sink to the deepest trench. His words are marked to people’s brains and believe that he can do it – his promise of change that “all are equal, all are free, all deserve the chance of full happiness.” Obama don’t lie, and he can’t lie because he said, “This is the end to pains, grievances and false promises.” Millions of people believe that his reign to power doesn’t only limit to the last ocean of the USA but would extend to the whole world and its countries. “America is a friend of each nation.”
The future of America is bright. The allies have cheered with them. By the time that everything is at peace with prosperity, people would care no more for themselves but for the people who still have miseries in their hearts and empty plates at meals.

Chill-ax?
CHILL. Literally speaking, I am totally, definitely and undeniably chilling. Who doesn’t? The temperature has been so different this week. First time in my entire life, since I haven’t travelled to low-temperature places, except in Bukidnon (and it was not even as chilly as I was there than the temperature today), that a temperature like this had made me feel dizzy. But something tells me that I have to get use to this kind of temperature…(maybe few years from now I might be able to go to London, my dream place) hahaha…now I caught myself laughing!! It isn’t bad to be ambitious, is it? Anyways, this might be the effect of global warming but, “NO!” I guess this is not. Global warming is supposed to be hot; droughts over here and there, bodies of water have been evaporated but hardly rain, forest fires everywhere and heavy sweats running down the forehead at night, right? As in global WARMING… therefore, what we are experiencing right now is the other thing around, GLOBAL FREEZING.
Seriously, I’ve never thought a storm as strong and as cold as this would happen in our place. I mean in MINDANAO. Local news have aired tragic events from Cagayan de Oro City which was brought to national news headlines and scoops; deep floods, landslides, flying roof-houses, people evacuated from their places, missing children because of flood, worst, old man dead of hypothermia and state of emergencies declared from towns in the said city.
-ax for RELAX. Relax? Oh no, no. how could anyone be relaxed if the electric power shuts down every after two hours? These had been the most awful thing that had happened. First is the FREEZING temperature and next is the shuts-down-every-after-two-hours electricity. It was said that a power plant that supports the whole region have been shut down, by bombs…of the terrorists? I don’t know why and I want to know! Who knows?
Well, I’m lucky that Vibe, PLDT’s dial-up connection doesn’t have power interruption but hated the laptop for lasting only an hour and thirty-nine minutes. Now I have to wait for the next 2 hours for another post…brrrr… I guess I missed everything around… when will all these end? The whole thing is wrecked like the…err…miserable feeling of dying helplessly… (Darn, I don’t even know what I am writing) huhu…I curse the people behind the electric shut down! And I hope that the chilly temperature remains...of course without the storm!

RODS: The unknown fact
I remembered last October 2008, the last time I was an official student of any school, when I was given by the Features Editor an assignment to search for unidentified or creepy species on Earth, since the Tabloid would release at the end of November. I was searching the World Wide Web regarding the unidentified or creepy things that could be found. I typed the search bar at Google, “unidentified species” and got thousands of results. There were plenty about UFO’s but I didn’t bother what’s in it because I was looking for a new one, a different thing from every dissimilar forms, a new subject to reveal to students that might got their attention also. My eyes were searching the monitor for good subjects to write down – and with that I saw a headline that sounds different, an existence that I didn’t know until I pushed the left mouse-button to the link.
RODS, 3 inches and 2 ½ to 3 feet in length creatures that is said to be captured on films and videos everywhere. You can even videotape them yourself. It was first discovered by a filmmaker, Jose Escamilla on 1994 when he videotaped a UFO near Midway, New Mexico. When he checked the photographs again, he noticed that it was actually not a UFO but a flying object that was unknown to him. More distinct images were captured by him while filming cliff divers at a deep cave in Mexico. After he developed the film, small flying things could be seen zipping around the divers at high rate of speed. They move as fast as 150 to 1,000 miles per hour.
Rods are said to live both land and water. They have been seen the air outdoors, indoors and even in underwater. They can even pass through solid objects and inside the human body. It is also the reason why human sneeze, because ancient people of what kind believed that the unknown creature had came out from the body by sneezing.
Lots of pictures from Google show and describe every inch of what rods are. It is composed of no body parts, no hard structures, only liquids. The rod filmed in Maine has one main body part, rod-shaped, with two long wings/fins. In the survey online, 51% of the people online believe that it is Tiny Alien Ship, 30.4% A hoax, 10.8% Never before discovered insects, 4.3% Creatures that can pass between objects, 0.7% Scratches on film, 0.5% Flying scrolls like in the Bible, 0.5% Fairy of legend and myth and 1.0% Military experiment that escapes.
Research have been made and proven that these creatures have existed for years now, and years to come. But specimens of these kinds can never get caught, that’s why scientist can never explain it with science of what kind and where they belong.
